A man has been described as a hero by his daughter after helping a person who’s car had caught fire on the A49 between Hereford and Leominster on Thursday afternoon.
Grant Loughman, a director at Grandstand Auto Services in Hereford, was driving home from a trip to Queenswood with his daughter and family when they discovered a car on fire in the Moreton-on-Lugg area.
Grant quickly stepped in and helped the person who’s car had gone on fire and helped to direct traffic away from the incident until fire crews arrived. His proud daughter then told those at the incident that ‘her daddy was the hero today’.
The road was blocked for a short while, before reopening once fire crews deemed the area safe.
