Beacons have been lit up across Herefordshire to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

First up was Hereford, where a beacon was lit up at 7.30pm on Thursday evening. A large crowd gathered to watch the event at Churchill Gardens.

This was soon followed by events in other areas of the county.

In Kington, a beacon was lit on Bradnor Hill, with hundreds gathering to watch the event.

The best show of the night probably went to Bishops Frome for their incredible effort.

A huge crowd turned out in Ross-on-Wye to see the beacon lit at The Prospect.

Elsewhere, a number of villages in the area also held beacon lighting events.
