Hereford FC have been given approval by Herefordshire Council to upgrade the floodlights at Edgar Street.
Hereford FC have been looking to upgrade the floodlights at Edgar Street for some time, and the club now has approval to install LED floodlights.
Documents shared by Herefordshire Council state the following:
‘Herefordshire Council has granted a licence for the tenant to make alterations to upgrade floodlighting to LED at Edgar Street Stadium.
‘The tenant (Hereford FC) requested to upgrade the floodlighting to LED.
‘The lease requires Hereford FC to gain formal consent for alterations from the landlord (Herefordshire Council).
‘There will be no impact on passing traffic or pedestrians. Hereford FC are obtaining external funding and the installation will substantially improve their sustainability and reduce energy costs.’
