Hereford Lads Club will be looking to cause an upset when they face Hereford FC tomorrow evening at the County Ground.
After an impressive win at fellow promotion chasers Malvern Town, match winner Jamie Cuthbertson took time to answer a few questions for us ahead of tomorrow nights fixture.
Q) Wow! Let’s start off with the win on Saturday. You grabbed the winner too. Special day for you?
A) Yes it was a great day Saturday beating Malvern, especially getting the winner late on. I take a bit of stick about the size of my head from the lads, but it obviously has its uses.
Q) First team to win at Malvern this season in the league. How key was your match preparation?
A) It was always going to be a close game going by the game 3 weeks ago at our place. However we knew we could beat them if we played like we know we can.
Q) We popped into Lads Club after the match on Saturday and the atmosphere was buzzing. Is this the best group of players you’ve played alongside?
A) Definitely, they’re a great group of lads, we’re all good mates off the pitch which always helps. We’re always buzzing after a win but Saturday was definitely one to remember.Â
Q) Hereford FC tomorrow night. County Cup Quarter Final, under the lights, at home. Fancy your chances?
A) We’re obviously the underdogs going into the game and we don’t know what sort of side they’ll bring. However hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves. It will be a good night for the club regardless.
Q) Who do you think has been your stand out performer this season?
A) It’s hard to pick out one player as Tom Dawson was having a great season before his leg break, and Kiea ‘noodle’ Cowley was unfortunately injured on the weekend, that will be a big loss. Adam Hockey is also having a great season.
Q) If you could give people one good reason to come along tomorrow night, what would it be?
A) Going off our last few games, there’s been plenty of goals, so it should be entertaining!
