West Mercia Police have issued a message for residents living in the Hampton Dene area of Hereford.
The message states:
“Residents of Hampton Dene, please be aware of a cold caller offering door to door to repair services for loose roof tiles.
“This individual is claiming that the victims roofs are damaged by showing a false photo that is clearly not their roof, or attempting to point out damage that isn’t there.
“It is advised to avoid consultation with cold callers unless it is by a pre arranged appointment sought out by yourselves with clear contact details for the organisation you are seeking the services from.
“More information can be found on our website https://www.westmercia.police.uk and going to ‘information and advice’, ‘antisocial behaviour’, ‘annoying phone calls or unwanted visits.”
