The A49 is closed between Hereford and Leominster this evening, with motorists advised to use the A417 or A4110 as a diversion.
The closure is in place between the junction for the A417 (Bodenham / Gloucester) and Wellington.
Road closed signs are in place near the Starting Gate in Hereford but motorists can access areas such as Lyde and Moreton-on-Lugg.
