Hereford FC returned to league action this evening in the hope of gaining three points in the push for a play off place.

The Bulls put on a decent show against League One side Portsmouth in the FA Cup, but were beaten 3-1 after a dominant second half performance from Pompey.

Hosts Kettering had other ideas this evening and goals from Gary Stohrer and Tyrone Lewthwaite secured a 2-0 win for the home side.

The Bulls now sit in 15th spot, six points off a play off spot and six points off the relegation places. The Bulls do have a couple of games in hand on most sides.

Next up, a trip to bottom side Telford on Saturday. 3pm kick off.
