A section of the M5 remains closed this morning after a tipper truck collided with an overhead gantry.
A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police said:
“Please be aware there are currently closures on the M5 this morning.
“We were called to the M5 at around 8.20am today (Thursday 2 March) following reports of a tipper truck colliding with an overhead gantry on the southbound carriageway between junctions 17 (Cribbs Causeway) and 18 (Avonmouth).
“The motorway is currently closed in both directions.
“There have been no reported injuries.
