A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“Yesterday saw two males arrested by our patrol colleagues as follows.

“A male who had committed a string of shoplifting offences in and around Leominster town was arrested and has been remanded for court today (we are waiting for the courts outcome as we speak). The charge was for 6 shoplifting offences from Morrison’s / Co-Op / Applegreens in Leominster between May and September 2022 for total value of £721.

“A second male was arrested as he was wanted on warrant, but he has also been further charged with three shop lifting offences from Morrison’s in Leominster. He has also been remanded for court.

“We will continue to work with our local shops and supermarkets to deter and prevent offenders from entering shops with the intention to steal.”
