The owner of a cycle shop in Hereford has told Your Herefordshire that they are pleased to see the Old Bridge reopen to all motorists.

Lynette Quinton (Owner of Mastercraft Cycles) said:

“So happy that the Old Wye Bridge has re-opened at last. As the owner of Mastercraft Cycles on Bridge Street, it’s wonderful to see the street looking more normal and cars able to park in the street on both sides. Our business already feels more vibrant!”

The reopening of the bridge has seen mixed reviews, with campaign groups such as Here for Hereford complaining by saying that today (Friday 1st October) is a bad day for pedestrians and cyclists.

Many motorists, particularly those that like to access businesses on Bridge Street, as well as the Halo Leisure Pool, are likely to be pleased, with many now able to avoid using the usually congested junction near Asda.
