A major route in Herefordshire is closed in both directions tonight with emergency services responding to an incident.
The incident has occurred on the A40 between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth.
West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service are both understood to be in attendance at the incident.
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“A40 Eastbound and Westbound between Whitchurch and Ganarew. Total closure both sides due to Police incident. Please use alternative route.”
