Motorists in Herefordshire are facing a lengthy diversion, with a major route in the county CLOSED for a week from today.

Hereford Highways have confirmed that the A44 will be closed between Leominster and Bromyard, for a week from 24/11/22 to 30/11/22, between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

Outside of these hours, two-way traffic lights will be in operation.

The road will remain open as normal over the weekend but motorists are advised to be aware of the closure and to plan ahead before travelling.

The closure is between Leominster (A49 junction) and Steen’s Bridge.
