The government has provided an update following an outbreak of bird flu on a farm near Leominster at the end of 2021.
The latest update from the Government says:
Premises near Leominster, North Herefordshire, Herefordshire
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in birds at a premises near Leominster, North Herefordshire, Herefordshire on the 2 December 2021. All birds on the infected premises have been humanely culled.
Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the disease control zones declared on the 2 December 2021 surrounding this premises, the 3km Protection Zone has ended and the 10km Surveillance Zone has now been revoked. Local movement restrictions have now been removed but the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) measures remain in place.

This ends the 3km Protection Zone and revokes the 10km Surveillance Zone.
