Emergency services worked hard yesterday evening to help rescue a male from the River Wye in Monmouth.
A large scale operation took place in Monmouth near Bigsweir Bridge at around 7pm, with Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and South Western Ambulance Service all in attendance at the incident.
Fortunately, crews helped to rescue one male from the water.
Police were also in attendance at the incident. A special mention goes to a passer by with a kayak who helped during the rescue operation.
