A shortage of signalling staff at Hereford means that the majority of rail services that pass through the station are cancelled today.
An update from National Rail this morning says:
“A shortage of signalling staff at Hereford between 11:00 and 18:00 today, Tuesday 22 March, is causing disruption at this station. Buses will replace trains to / from Hereford.”
Customer advice:
West Midlands Railway
No trains will run between Great Malvern and Hereford. Rail replacement transport will run between these stations.
Transport for Wales
Trains will not run between Shrewsbury / Newport and Hereford.

- West Midlands Railway between Crewe / Shrewsbury and Birmingham New Street
- CrossCountry between Birmingham New Street and Bristol Parkway / Cardiff Central.
- Great Western Railway between Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central.
- Avanti West Coast between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly.
Rail replacement has been requested to run between Newport / Shrewsbury and Hereford. Please allow extra time for your journey.
