A sunny day at Hay on Wye’s Thursday market brought many people together keen to buy a ticket for a raffle in support of Ukrainian refugees.
The raffle idea came from Annie Inness and Bex Elliott – sisters from Otherworldz in Hay.
Annie said “Hay has an incredible array of independent shops and businesses so we thought a raffle for Ukraine would be a good place to start. So far we’ve had a fantastic response with lots of incredible prizes donated (over 50) – from Golden Hay Festival tickets, a B&B stay in Hay to 3 course meals at local pubs, there really is something for everyone!”
With a list of top quality prizes as long as your arm and together with a huge amount of local support the organisers can confirm at time of press the fund has already reached £3000! All proceeds will go to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
