A number of properties near Hereford have been evacuated this morning due to an ongoing incident.

The evacuation is due to a road closure that is in place on the A438 (Hereford to Brecon Road) at Swainshill.

A collision involving two vehicles, one being an LPG Tanker is causing concern and the emergency services have decided to evacuate all surrounding properties.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“One of the vehicles involved is an LPG tanker so neighbouring properties have been evacuated. The road remains closed and people are advised to stay away from the area as far as is possible.”
