West Midlands Ambulance Service have provided an update following a collision on a major route into Hereford this morning.

The collision has occurred on the A438 (Hereford to Brecon Road), near the junction for Stretton Sugwas. The road remains closed in both directions (as of 9am).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called at 8:06am to reports of an RTC involving a small tanker on the A438 in Stretton Sugwas. We sent an ambulance and paramedic officer to the scene and have treated two patients with minor injuries who have been discharged on the scene.”

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have also provided Your Herefordshire with an update:

“Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford and Fownhope were called at 07:58 on 31 May to an RTC in Stretton Sugwas near the War Memorial at the A438 junction. The incident involved two LGVs and the A438 is closed in both directions. Two male casualties in their 40s have been handed over to the ambulance service. Police are also in attendance at the incident.”
