If you venture into Hereford city centre this weekend, you’ll notice that the Black & White House has been covered in ribbons, but why?
It’s to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the May Fair visiting the city of Hereford. The irony being that this year the May Fair will visit the city in August, rather than May due to COVID-19 restrictions.
From Herefordshire Council – “Celebrating Hereford’s 900th anniversary of the May Fair, the Art Gallery will have an exhibition as part of a city-wide programme of exhibitions and events relating to fairs.”
