A police car displaying both lights and sirens was responding to an urgent incident in Herefordshire when travelling on the A480 in Credenhill yesterday evening (Wednesday 28 April).

At just after 6pm the police car was involved in a collision with a car driven by a member of the public.

The occupants inside the vehicle were uninjured.

The officers in the police car received minor injuries. The road was closed while investigation work was carried out and the vehicles removed.

The incident has been referred to the Professional Standards Department at West Mercia Police as is normal practice when police are involved in a collision such as this.
