A Herefordshire based boxer has confirmed that he will be running from Hereford to London, to raise money for the FirstLight Trust.
Liam O’Hare, who is part of the City of Hereford Boxing Academy has set up a GoFundMe page to give people the opportunity to sponsor him ahead of his epic trip that will take place later in August.
On the GoFundMe page, Liam explains why he is taking part in this challenge.
“In order to raise money for this cause I am going to be running from Hereford to London which will be 125 miles.
“My aim will be to do this within 48 hours. I will be getting the local veterans at the trust to get involved and help me out with route planning and preparation of kit ect so it will be a real team effort from our Hereford Hub.
“I will be taking part in this challenge on the 26th/27th August.
“The First Light Trust helps in rebuilding the lives of Veterans and Emergency Service personnel and their families within the community, especially those affected by physical wounds and injury, post traumatic stress disorder and psychological issues of disempowerment resulting from service life.
“Join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause! I’m raising money for FirstLight Trust and any donation will help make a difference.
“Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to me.
“As many of you know I work for the FirstLight Trust and get to see first hand what they do for the veterans and blue lights locally.
“Really hope we can raise some more money to help them continue and further their good work in the Hereford Community.
“Also be sure to drop into the local cafe Hereford Hub to say Hello.
“We are located by the Green Dragon in Broad Street. Pop in for some cake and coffee – all profits go back to helping the veterans.
