Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate continues to fall, indicating that lockdown restrictions in England are having a significant effect at slowing the rate of spread of the virus.

COVID-19 INFECTION RATES IN HEREFORDSHIRE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA (DATA UP UNTIL 14TH JANUARY):

Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate is currently 321.6 cases per 100,000 population. This is a decrease on last week when the COVID-19 infection rate in the county was at 379.7 cases per 100,000 population.

Worcestershire’s COVID-19 infection rate is starting to show signs of falling. Data shows an infection rate of 535.9 cases per 100,000 population. This is a slight decrease on last week when the COVID-19 infection rate in Worcestershire was at 558.1 cases per 100,000 population.

Shropshire’s COVID-19 infection rate has slightly fallen. Data shows an infection rate of 436.3 cases per 100,000 population. This is a slight decrease on the 459.6 cases per 100,000 population recorded just a week ago.

Gloucestershire’s COVID-19 infection rate is falling rapidly. Data shows an infection rate of 261.5 cases per 100,000 population. This is a decrease on the 355.2 cases per 100,000 population that was recorded a week ago.

Monmouthshire’s COVID-19 infection rate is falling. Data shows an infection rate of 206.2 cases per 100,000 population. This is down on a week ago when the COVID-19 infection rate was at 307.6 cases per 100,000 population. Monmouthshire and a number of areas of South Wales are now seeing falls in infection rates.

Powys COVID-19 infection rate is rising. Data shows an infection rate of 209.2 cases per 100,000 population. This is an increase on the 207.6 cases per 100,000 population that was recorded a week ago.
