Westfields will be looking to spring a surprise on Hereford FC this evening when fields travel to face the inform Bulls in the County Cup at Edgar Street.
Hereford have won four matches on the bounce in the league, with victories over Chorley, Guiseley, Blyth Spartans and Chester. Westfields have been in more indifferent form with a defeat on penalties in the FA Vase on Saturday away at Coventry United, recent draws against Thornbury and Bradford Town, as well as wins against Cribbs and Longlevens.
The match will bring back memories for some Bulls fans, with Westfields beating Hereford 3-1 at Edgar Street in September 2018. Manager Peter Beadle was sacked the following day. Fortunately, due to recent results, manager Josh Gowling won’t face the same fate, even if fields do spring a surprise once again.
Hereford FC are expected to make a number of changes, with Josh Gowling set to give some fringe players and opportunity to impress.
