Westfields Football Club showed plenty of character to twice come from behind to earn a draw in front of a bumper crowd of over 300 on Tuesday evening at Malvern Town.

The hosts took the lead after just 8 minutes, when Matt Turner headed home the opener. However, Sean Powell of Westfields scored a contender for goal of the season (already) after 34 minutes to level the scores at 1-1.

Malvern Town did retake the lead in the second half, when Matt Turner fired home his second of the evening after 73 minutes. Malvern looked like they were set to hold on, until deep into added time when Sam Rawlings scrambled the ball over the line to earn a very respectable point for Westfields.
