All three Hereford based Hellenic League Premier Division sides begin their FA Cup 2023/24 journey on Saturday.

Hereford Pegasus have a home tie against higher graded Hanley Town at the KGD Stadium. Mark Hibbard’s team will be positive that they can put in a good performance, after a depleted side earned a draw against Hereford Lads Club on Tuesday evening in the opening game of the Hellenic League Premier Division season.

Westfields also have a home tie, when they face Cogenhoe United at Allpay Park. The Northamptonshire outfit are in a division that is the same level as Westfields, but this is still expected to be a tricky tie. Fields came back from 3-1 down at home to Cinderford on Tuesday evening, to earn a 3-3 draw, thanks to two quickfire goals from Dan Stoneman.

Hereford Lads Club face a trip to Shifnal Town. Shifnal are at the same level as Lads Club, but the Midland League is known for being notoriously tough, with well drilled sides, so Hereford Lads Club will need to be on top form to be in the hat for the next round.

As well as difficult ties, it appears that each side will have to cope with difficult weather conditions, with Storm Antoni set to bring heavy rain and strong winds to many parts on Saturday.
