Hereford Lads Club finished their pre season campaign with a brilliant 5-2 victory over Hellenic League Premier side Lyndey Town AFC at The County Ground this evening.

Goals from James Hancocks (2), Tom Bendall (2) and Jamie Cuthbertson in the first half secured the fine win before Lydney hit back in the second half with two consolation goals. The forward link up play between Hancocks, Bendall, Price and Hockey was a delight to watch alongside the midfield work rate and quality of Newbury and Hibbard. Bell made a great save from a penalty and would’ve hoped for a clean sheet, but overall manager Danny Moon will be pleased with the quality and effort that his side put in all over the pitch.

MOTM – James Hancocks – A fine performance with tremendous work rate. Topped off with two goals.

Elsewhere, Hereford Pegasus were beaten 4-2 at Tuffley Rovers, with Kyle Panniers grabbing both goals for Pegasus from the penalty spot.
