Herefordshire Football League Report from this past weekend (4th Feb):

Ledbury Town got back to winning ways to maintain their top spot in the Zzoomm Herefordshire Football League Premier Division after edging Wellington Rangers in a close affair Saturday afternoon.

55 minutes had passed in the match when a long stoppage occurred due to a serious injury but when play finally resumed with the scores at 1-1 it was Ledbury who took the ascendancy finding the goals to win the match. Pugh and Febery (2) securing the win for promotion chasing Ledbury.

Clee Hill United travelled the short distance to Ludlow Town Colts with both teams still hoping to have a say in the final standings at the top of the Premier Division. After winning the League twice in the last three attempts Clee Hill have started to rediscover the form they lost last season and those performances continued this weekend beating Ludlow 3-0 as they continue to make their voices heard in the title challenge.

There was plenty of goals at Allpay Park as a local derby between Westfields Development and Hinton Firsts proved to be an exciting watch for the neutral.

With the home side rebuilding their ‘second team’ this season the youthful group found the net 5 times with 4 different goal scorers as they overcome a spirted Hinton team 5-3 to solidify their middle table position.
