Hereford Pegasus returned to uhlsport Hellenic League action with a Premier Division fixture against Bradford Town at the KGD Stadium. They reproduced the form shown against Hereford in midweek.
Two goals in each half were enough to secure the three points taking their total to forty points, that usually guarantees security from relegation.
The game was played in cold foggy conditions however, both teams contributed to an entertaining game played in the right spirit.
On 16 minutes, Jamie Price fired the ball towards goal from a throw from Curtis Townley. It was directed into the goal by a defender. The dubious goals committee were split as to the goal scorer.
Within two minutes, the home side doubled the advantage, Carlos Moreira beat his man and squares the ball across the box for Cawley Cox to finish.
Pegasus continued to take the game to the visitors, who played some neat football but, lacked a cutting edge.
Two minutes into the second half Moreira was again the provider as he crossed for Cawley Cox to head back across goal into the corner of the net.
There were times when the fog made it difficult for spectators to see all the action. The players and match officials did not complain or, even have any discussions about a cessation of play.
In the final minute, Moreira ended on the scoresheet although, the author could not see the build up but, the scorer lobbed the ball over the keeper Ed Baldy.
In reality, Pegasus should have the doubled score line as they were guilty of some wayward finishing from good positions.
The PR Cooling Man of the Match was Cawley Cox.
LT Baynham Vehicle Hire Man of the Match was Harrison Summers.
Next Saturday, Pegasus travel to Wantage Town for a uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division fixture.
