Hereford FC’s home fixture against Chester this evening is in doubt, with freezing fog and frost across the county.

A pitch inspection is set to take place at Edgar Street at 11am.

Hereford FC shared the following update on their website on Monday afternoon:

“There will be a pitch inspection at 11am tomorrow (Tuesday) ahead of our evening kick-off against Chester.

“With below freezing temperatures forecast overnight and into tomorrow, our ground staff are working hard to prepare the pitch for tomorrow’s clash.

“Keep an eye out on our official website and social media platforms tomorrow for information regarding the evening kick-off.”

Temperatures fell to -4c overnight in Hereford, with freezing fog leaving a layer of ice across most surfaces.

If the match does go ahead, the Bulls will be looking to record a second win in a row following a 1-0 victory away at Buxton on Saturday.
