Tuesday night saw another thrilling evening of local football. The highlight of which was over at the KGD Stadium where Hereford Pegasus entertained Worcester Raiders in a five goal thriller. Shortly after kick off, Pegasus were ahead thanks to a goal from Curtis Townley.
Into the second half and the away side Worcester Raiders found an equaliser with a strike from the edge of the box. This was soon followed by a series of goals, with Pegasus retaining the lead through a strike from Luke Griffiths. However, Raiders were soon level with an equaliser just two minutes later. Hereford Pegasus kept pushing and with great intensity and confidence they struck gold in the 94th minute thanks to Cawley Cox who hit the back of the net. Fair to say, Pegasus are flying high at the moment!
Elsewhere, Westfields hosted Brimscombe and Thrupp FC who presented a tough challenge following a sudden dip in form for fields. Fields similarly took the lead after three minutes through Jack Gittoes, who tapped the ball in following a rebound off the keeper. A bit of fortune, perhaps earned after a great counter attacking build up.
The game played out fairly reserved, but with a very late chance to equalise for Brimscombe striking the post, Westfields countered once again to find their second, with a ball played across the box and poked in by Adam Wakely.
Neighbours Lads Club travelled to Worcestershire to face Malvern away. Brandon Jennings scored from the spot to put Lads Club ahead and they battled and had the best of the first half.
However, an unfortunate second half saw a complete turn around for the home side, with an equaliser against the run of play before a winner late on to make it 2-1. It was extremely unlucky for Hereford Lads Club, who will hope to bounce back against Thornbury on Saturday.
