The Hereford FC squad are putting final preparations in place prior to the clubs visit to Wembley Stadium for the FA Trophy Final on Saturday.
The Bulls took part in a training session this morning and answered questions from media outlets, including Your Herefordshire, The Hereford Times, BBC Hereford & Worcester and Radio Hereford FC.
Your Herefordshire Director Matt Healey spoke to Josh Gowling and a few squad players about this Saturday’s final.
Here’s what the gaffer (Josh Gowling) had to say:
JG: “We are focused, the lads are bouncing, we are focusing on our game plan and are going train hard the next few days.”
MH: “The winners of Saturday’s game will earn £60,000 in prize money, which in the current financial climate would be very welcome?”
JG: “Finances have been tough on the club and also for the players who had to take pay cuts, if we can get the victory the money will go a long way.”
MH: “Hornchurch are managed by Mark Stimson who was your former boss at Gillingham. Does that make the final a bit tastier?”
JG: “It’s like anything if you play against your old club you want to beat them that little bit more. He’s got a lot of experience, the pressure is on them and we are the underdogs, he’s won the competition a few times and has got a good pedigree of players in the squad, they have beaten some good teams to get this far.”
Gowling added: “We will finish our training this week and then head down and get prepared for the game.”
