Hereford FC made it four wins from their last four matches with a hard fought 1-0 victory in front of more than 2,000 supporters at Edgar Street.
An excellent strike by Luke Haines ensured that Hereford FC took all three points in their game against Chester City yesterday afternoon.

Elsewhere, Westfields suffered sudden death penalty heartache in the FA Vase. Fields worked hard to get themselves back level at 1-1 thanks to a goal from Cawley Cox. However, it was Cox’s penalty that unfortunately hit the woodwork, meaning that the hosts progressed through to the next round. Westfields must now turn their attention to the HFA County Cup when they take on Hereford FC at Edgar Street on Tuesday.
Hereford Pegasus kept themselves in the race for promotion with an emphatic 6-2 victory at home against Cirencester Town Development. Goals from Saul Thomas (2), Paul Jones, Jamie Price, Toby Wildig and Lewis Fletcher securing all three points for the hosts.
Hereford Lads Club suffered a home defeat against Shrivenham at The County Ground. Kiea Cowley had given Lads Club the lead, but two quick goals from the visitors gave them the lead and Lads Club just couldn’t get back into the game, despite having plenty of the ball in the second half.
