Leominster is continuing to record some of the highest COVID-19 infection rates in the country, with 1 in 70 people in the Leominster North area testing positive for COVID-19 in the seven day period ending 15th November.

In total, in the seven day period ending 15th November, a total of 85 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Leominster North area. This is an increase of 88.9% on the previous seven day period. The infection rate for this area is ‘very high’ at 1,403 cases per 100,000 population.

The situation in the Leominster South area is very similar, with a total of 66 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the seven day period ending 15th November. This is an increase of 57.1% on the previous seven day period. The infection rate in this area is also ‘very high’ at 1,041 cases per 100,000 population.

Overall, infection rates are on the rise across the majority of the county once again. In the seven day period ending 15th November, a total of 861 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Herefordshire. This is an increase of 12.3% on the previous seven day period. The infection rate therefore across Herefordshire is currently rated as ‘high’ at 444.7 cases per 100,000 population.
