Super sub Tom Bendall fired home a quick fire brace to send Lads Club back to the top of the table with a 2-1 victory away at Wellington.

In truth, the victory was a bit of a smash and grab with the hosts looking fairly comfortable leading 1-0 for the majority of the game thanks to a first half strike from Luke Griffiths.

Lads Club manager Danny Moon made changes at half time and during the second half and Adam Hockey and Tom Bendall both made a difference. A penalty and a great close range strike from Bendall saw Lads Club secure all three points late on. A huge win for the visitors who bounce back from the defeat at Malvern Town at the weekend. Malvern were beaten at Thornbury Town this evening and therefore Lads Club regain top spot.

Wellington will be disappointed but they can take plenty away from the game. A solid performance for 80 minutes.
