Over the past week, Your Herefordshire has been bombarded with messages about the fun activities that have been and will be taking place across Wellington, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

What we’ve discovered is incredible. A village with a fantastic sense of community and some fun events, including the wheelbarrow / pram race that took place on Wednesday evening!

In all, a total of 100+ scarecrows (with a royal theme) are dotted around the village, with local residents and visitors to the village taking plenty of photos for the memory box!

Plenty of households have got involved, as well as businesses, including the local shop. It’s been a fantastic effort.

The Royal Balcony is looking excellent!

On Wednesday evening, the annual wheelbarrow / pram race took place in the village. The Queen even attended with one of her Corgis! (Well that’s what they’re telling us anyway!)

It’s not just the local media that are raving about the effort put in by local residents in Wellington. National newspapers and the likes of Sky News and GB News have also been shouting about this wonderful village.

Think this is it? There is plenty more taking place throughout the Platinum Jubilee weekend. See the poster below for a full list of events taking place today and over the next few days.
