A driver that was caught speeding on the M5 in Somerset told police that he was travelling back from Wales after getting a haircut.
Avon and Somerset Police stopped the driver earlier in the week on the M5 at Junction 23.
The 29-year-old was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs after a roadside test.
It is currently against lockdown rules to travel from England to Wales, with people in England required to ‘Stay at Home’ unless it is for a number of permitted reasons such as exercise, outdoor recreation or work.
Hairdressers and Barbers are expected to reopen in England on 12th April under the roadmap out of lockdown that has been issued by the government.
