Our crew was called out yesterday to a fire in the open.
A large area of bracken on the black mountains near Clodock was well alight.
Supported by our colleagues from Ross-on-Wye and South Wales fire service the crews used beaters, water back packs and the off road vehicle.
Thankfully the wind direction helped keep the fire away from neighbouring properties.
No persons were injured and the cause is unknown.
