West Mercia Police have provided an update this morning after being called to two collisions in Hereford overnight.

The first collision occurred on the A49, near the entrance to Tesco (Bewell Street), where a car collided with a sign.

The second incident occurred near midnight on Grandstand Road. A car smashed through a wall.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police (OPU Herefordshire) said:

“We attended two RTC’s in Hereford attended this evening. Vehicle 1 – lost control and crashed through a wall. Driver arrested for drink drive after blowing 77ug at the roadside. 

“Vehicle 2 – lost control due to excess speed, colliding with a sign.”
