NEWS | West Mercia Police issue warning about keyless car thefts with a list of the most stolen cars

West Mercia Police have shared the following message via neighbourhood matters.

There has been an increase in the theft of key-less style cars, especially Range Rovers, Audi and BMW. 

Thieves will use a relay device to pick up the signal given off by the fob, this can be done from outside your house.

If you are the owner of a key-less style motor vehicle please consider the following steps to secure it and prevent its theft. 

Purchase a signal blocking pouch for the fob including the spare.

·  Buy a good quality steering wheel lock.

·  Install a driveway post(s).
