A cake sale held by Wellington Stores has raised a whopping £926.30 to help support the people of Ukraine.
Julia from Wellington Stores said:
“Our cake sale for Ukraine has made a whopping £926.30.
“We are absolutely overwhelmed by the support we received and would would like to say a massive THANK YOU to each and every one of you.
“Whether you donated goodies, purchased from us, shared our posts or left a donation, your support has helped raise a magnificent amount for such a worthy cause and one that has united so many people.
“The money raised will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and every pound donated will be matched by the UK government through its Aid Match scheme.
“Due to such generous support from our suppliers, there is still a small table of goodies available in the shop (cash only) and this money will be added to the total at a later date.”
