West Mercia Police have released information on the number of crimes that were reported during August.
In the Hereford City Southside and Rural Southside area, the following crimes were reported the most:
- Violence and sexual offences – 179
- Public order – 38
- Other theft – 25
- Criminal damage and arson – 23
What will concern local residents the most is the fact that police were unable to prosecute a suspect in almost a third of reported crimes during August. 47.6% of reported crimes remain under investigation, with 4% of crimes awaiting a court outcome.
