West Mercia Police have published crime statistics for January 2021, which indicate a slight rise in the number of crimes being recorded in the Leominster area at the start of this year compared to the end of 2020.
The top reported crimes in the Leominster area in January 2021 were:
Violence and Sexual Offences: 40
Burglary: 10
Other Crime: 9
Public Order: 8
Drugs: 7
Other Theft: 7
Crime levels in this area are have fallen in comparison to earlier in 2020, with the total number of reported offences between Oct-Dec 2020 being 219, this is significantly down on the 549 offences that were reported in this area between Apr-Jun 2020.
