Emergency services have been responding to an incident at a property on Union Street in Hereford this afternoon.
The incident occurred at a flat on the street.
The road was closed between the junctions for Bath Street and Gaol Street for a short time.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew and the aerial ladder platform from Hereford Fire Station were called at 14:43 on 31 August to Union Street in Hereford to assist with the extrication of a male casualty in his 80s from a second-floor balcony.
“The man was then handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
“Police also attended to facilitate the road closure in Union Street.
“The incident was marked as ‘stop’ at 15:35.”
