The air ambulance was called to a collision on the A49 this afternoon.

The incident occurred in Much Birch, between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye.

West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance at the collision. 

The road was blocked for a short time.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:

“We were called to reports of a van that had crashed into a wall on the A49 in Much Birch at 1.26pm. 

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene. 

“On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Hereford County Hospital by land ambulance.”
