Armed police closed St Martin’s Street in Hereford earlier today, with local residents reporting a significant police presence outside a residential building on the street.
West Mercia Police have issued the following statement:
“Earlier this morning police responded to a report of an assault in a flat on St Martins Street in Hereford.
“A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“It’s believed those involved are known to each other and enquiries are on-going to locate the suspect.”
