Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty have confirmed that Hunderton Bridge in Hereford will have a weight restriction limit of 3 tonnes from Monday.
Herefordshire Council say that the weight restriction limit is being put into place due to structural constraints.
The popular route is mainly used by pedestrians and cyclists, however it is occasionally used as access for work vans/lorries that use the route as access to carry out work on the Great Western Way in the city.
The weight restriction notice is therefore unlikely to cause major issues to the majority of people that use the bridge but it is worth noting that any vehicle travelling over the bridge will need to check its weight prior to doing so.
