The family of Sean Day have paid tribute to a much loved son and father who had ‘the biggest heart’.

Formal identification has now taken place, and officers can confirm that the body recovered from the River Wye on Wednesday (August 9) was Sean.

The 29-year-old was last seen at around midnight on Saturday 29 July.

Sean’s mother, on behalf of his family, said: “A tribute for my beautiful son, Sean Anthony Keith John Gerald Day. Sean was loved by so many people, such a loving father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.

“He touched so many people’s hearts and he always had a big beautiful smile.

“He was a loveable rogue but he was my loveable rogue. Sean had the biggest heart and the most gorgeous blue eyes.

“Sean was the life and soul of any party and he loved to rave. It’s such a cruel world for him to be taken so young.

“Thank you for everyone’s kind messages and continuing support at this very sad time.

“Sean will be missed but never forgotten.”
