A teenage boy was taken to Hereford County Hospital after suffering potentially serious injuries after he had reportedly fallen from a pushbike into a ditch in Shobdon.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told Your Herefordshire:
“We were called to Shobdon Airfield in Hereford at 7.21pm. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended. Upon arrival crews found a teenage boy who had reportedly fallen from a pushbike into a ditch. He had sustained potentially serious injuries. He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene. He was conveyed to Hereford County Hospital via land ambulance for further assessment.”
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service also attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue told Your Herefordshire:
“A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Kingsland Fire Station was called at 19:51 on 31 May to Shobdon to assist the ambulance service. A teenage male casualty had come off his pushbike and fallen into a ditch approximately three metres deep. The casualty was rescued from the dry ditch using lines and a triple extension ladder before being handed over to paramedics. The incident was marked as pending closure at 20:33.”
