The Police and local communities are concerned that students who attend local colleges in Hereford are still failing to comply with the rules regarding safe distances and gatherings of more than 2.
Young people should be aware that they should be keeping safe distances apart (2m where possible) and should not be meeting or gathering at places such as Churchill Gardens and the shops at Folly Parade.
The rules are quite clear at this time –
No person may participate in a gathering which:
- Takes place in a public outdoor place and consists of more than two people.
- Or in any other outdoor place including outdoor parts of a private dwelling eg, gardens and consists of two or more people
The Police will continue to patrol these areas and take appropriate action where necessary. This will include telling the parent/guardian and if necessary issue fixed penalty notice fines.
