Ashfield Park Primary School in Ross-on-Wye has confirmed that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.
A post on social media stated:
Dear Parents,
We have been advised by Public Health England / Herefordshire Public Health this morning that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 from a staff member who works in Reception class. We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England / Herefordshire Public Health. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.
Therefore we are asking not to bring your Reception child into school for the rest of this half term. I will advise you you when you will be able to return to school today after speaking to the Outbreak Team in Hereford.
